Yesterday, I decided to take a step back and prioritise my well-being by working from the beach, which is an easy thing to do in Dubai. Lately, I’ve realised that neglecting self-care can lead to counter-productivity and as Stephen Covey wisely pointed out, to deliver golden eggs, the goose needs to be nurtured.
With about 85%+ of my work being conducive to remote setups, I have the flexibility to choose my workspace. So, why not choose a place that not only allows me to be productive but also rejuvenates my mind and body?

The lively atmosphere of Nikki Beach, with the DJ playing and people enjoying themselves, adds a dynamic energy to my work environment. Surprisingly, with my ADHD, this bustling setting is perfect for me. The constant activity and distractions from my own thoughts helped me stay focused and engaged in my tasks.

In addition to being a vibrant workspace, Nikki Beach also has an amazing ladies’ day offer every Tuesday! From 11 am to 6 pm, you can enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze with an AED150 entrance fee that includes a sun lounger, 6 drink tokens and access to a discounted ladies’ day lunch menu. The menu is quite diverse, featuring delicious options like salads, sushi, sliders, pasta and poke bowls, just to name a few. It’s the perfect way to unwind and treat yourself while getting some work done in a lively and enjoyable setting.
It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of work-life balance and taking time for oneself. The change of scenery helps break the monotony and keeps me motivated.
So there I was, with my laptop and a beach view, ready to tackle work with a refreshed mind and renewed energy. Here’s to finding harmony between work and personal well-being!
